Well, we're in our new home in Portland, OR!

Our loft is amazing. We love the brick, the big wooden stairs, and the deck. It's also surprisingly quiet, probably because the walls are a solid 3 feet thick.

Today, we've had the most beautiful weather I've seen in my life. It's sunny and in the low 70's with a nice breeze. It's supposed to be back up in the 90's this weekend.

I don't know how long it's going to take me to get used to living in such a vibrant downtown area. We walked around to bookstores, great restaurants, and Pioneer square yesterday. Today, on the way to the bank, we walked past a big park with a fountain/wading pool, swarming with toddlers. There's tons of stuff to see and do, all within a few blocks. It's crazy to think that this is just our neighborhood.

Tomorrow, our stuff in the moving van, and our car are both supposed to arrive. We are also supposed to get our couch from IKEA tomorrow.

I'm glad that I have over 2 weeks to soak it all in before I start working.
