I'm coming down off of a whirlwind week of vacation.

We just returned from Charleston where we saw Jump, Little Children's symphony show.
Wow.
That show was so perfect, so triumphant. I'm going to try to put this into words.

I've invested so much of my life into this band and their music. Yet beyond a few people, nobody likes them. My biggest fear has always been that Jump isn't special, that they aren't important, that this time in history isn't really as big a deal as I think.

This show proved once and for all to me that Jump, Little Children and their body of work is important. Nobody else writes this music, peforms this music, or communicates this music to their fans. They will be remembered, fondly, by the few of us who love them. Maybe our children will find our old CDs. Maybe they will dig up some live shows somewhere and be entranced by all the rarely heard songs, the way I was in the days of Napster.

Before last night, I wasn't confident that this would happen. Now I am.

Also, we went to Disney World with my parents this week. But I've written too much. Maybe I'll talk about it later.
