Today, I went on home visits for two of my baby patients. It's part of our residency requirements to do so many home visits. It was a good opportunity for me to learn what raising a baby's all about (because I sure have a lot to learn) and for the parents to ask lots of questions.
After downloading 2 metric tonnes of Beatles songs, I am developing a new appreciation for this band. I probably haven't heard "Helter Skelter" since I was a small child. I didn't even know they were capable of things like that. I've always loved bands that didn't care about genres. The Beatles didn't, Cake doesn't, Led Zeppelin didn't, The Decemberists don't, and Jump didn't used to.
Why does it now seem like there's something wrong with having each song be in a different style? I remember Jump being concerned about an album like that again. I think they were worried about "confusing the audience." Does the "White Album" confuse me? It confuses me horribly. But I love it even more because of that.
