Today is our second day at South by Southwest. We've been having a blast so far. Last night we saw David Gray, some misguided young band called Field Music, Laura Veirs, Of Montreal, and ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. Gray and Veirs were fun. Of Montreal was absolutely hilarious to watch. The acoustics were bad, so it was hard to hear them, but the visual antics were great. They could use some polishing, but I'd like to see them again. We didn't stay too long for Trail of Dead because it was late.
Tonight is the Dresden Dolls and Nickel Creek!
My icon reminds me, David Gray played the ukulele on some songs. He had a backup rock cellist (like Matt Nathanson). I keep telling Missy that she should be a backup rock cellist for a singer-songwriter, but it probably is a poorly-paid thankless job.
