This is it, my first shift on-call as an intern started at 7am this morning. Hopefully the pregnant women of Jacksonville will go easy on me. It's kind of a weird day to start, since it is July 4th. The hospital is still in weekend mode, with no-one in the waiting rooms and a closed cafeteria. Because I don't have any patients in labor, I would normally be in the Women's Health Clinic right now. But there's no clinic, no morning report, and no noon conference. So I'm just kind of here, until 1:30pm tomorrow.

I had what may be the most random dream last night. I dreamt I was in Celine Dion's backup choir. We were touring in Singapore and staying at a fancy hotel. The police were after me, so Celine played piano in the lobby so I could escape out the back door with the rest of the choir. The choir was mostly made up of kids, and I was responsible for them.

Apparently a movie exists that stars Jeff Daniels as George Washington.
